From the Dean: “Though it is difficult for me to imagine, I am now in my seventh year as the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral. That makes this the year in which I will take a sabbatical beginning June 15 and concluding September 8. The idea of a sabbatical may be foreign to some. And the purpose of a sabbatical often varies, depending on if it is taken in the context of academia, non-profit work, or the Church. As a result, I thought it might be helpful to give some background on sabbatical time for clergy in the Episcopal Church and let you know the specifics of how I plan to spend my sabbatical.”
